Williams (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Williams missed each of Memphis' final 18 games, but his absence is not a surprise, as the Grizzlies decided to essentially shut down their roster a few weeks ago. Williams ends his second year in The Association with averages of 10.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 0.9 steals across 27.6 minutes per game in 52 appearances (33 starts).... See More ... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Won't face Lakers on Friday
Williams (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Lakers. Williams is set to miss a 17th consecutive game Friday, and given the Grizzlies have been playing an eight-man rotation in recent contests, it wouldn't be shocking if Williams is also out for the season finale against the Nuggets on Sunday.... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Remains out
Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game in Cleveland. Williams is slated to miss a 16th straight game due to left patellar tendonitis. He has only two more chances to suit up this season -- Friday versus the Lakers and Sunday against Denver.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Still out
Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs. Williams' breakout campaign has come to a screeching halt, as he'll miss a 15th straight game due to left patellar tendonitis. It's unclear if he'll suit up again this season, but his next chance will come during the second half of Memphis' back-to-back set Wednesday in Cleveland.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Ruled out for Friday
Williams (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Pistons. Williams hasn't suited up since March 8 due to left patellar tendinitis, and that streak will now reach 13 games. He's also quite likely to miss the Saturday matchup against the 76ers, and at this point, it wouldn't be shocking if the Grizzlies rule him out for the rest of the season in the coming days.... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Another absence coming Wednesday
Williams (knee) won't play Wednesday versus Milwaukee. Williams hasn't suited up since March 8 due to left patellar tendinitis, but head coach Taylor Jenkins said last week that the Grizzlies haven't shut the second-year wing down for the season. He'll continue to be evaluated on a game-by-game basis, but after his 12th straight absence Wednesday, Williams now has just six more opportunities to play in 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Will remain out Monday
Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pistons. Williams will miss an 11th straight game due to left knee patellar tendinitis. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Milwaukee.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Remains out Saturday
Williams (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Magic. Williams' absence streak due to left knee patellar tendinitis will extend to 10 games Saturday. The second-year forward's next chance to suit up will come Monday in Detroit, but he doesn't have a return timetable and can probably be considered doubtful for that contest. Though head coach Taylor Jenkins said Friday that Derrick Rose (back/groin) and Ziaire Williams (back/hip) are unlikely to return this season, Vince Williams' situation is considered more fluid as he recovers from the knee issue, according to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.... Williams (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Lakers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. Williams' absence streak will extend to nine games Wednesday due to a left knee injury. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Orlando, but the second-year forward doesn't have a return timetable, per Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.... See More ... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Unlikely to play Friday

Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Doubtful for Monday
Williams (knee) is unlikely to play in Monday's game against the Kings. Williams will likely miss a fifth consecutive game due to left patellar tendinitis. With Williams expected to sit out Monday and with Luke Kennard (personal) also unavailable, the Grizzlies could turn to GG Jackson, John Konchar and Jake LaRavia to absorb most of the available minutes on the wing.... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Out for Saturday
Williams (knee) won't play Saturday against the Thunder. Williams will miss a fourth straight game due to left patellar tendinitis, leaving the Grizzlies without one of its top wing options. On a positive note, the Grizzlies are expected to get Desmond Bane (ankle) back from an extended absence.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Unlikely to play Saturday
Williams (knee) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Thunder. Williams will likely miss a fourth straight game due to left patellar tendon soreness. If he's downgraded to out as expected, Williams' next chance to suit up comes Monday in Sacramento. The second-year forward was playing well before his injury, averaging 14.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 34.3 minutes over his last 24 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Doubtful for Wednesday
Williams (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Hornets. Williams will likely miss a third straight game due to left patellar tendon soreness. The injury is a tough blow for the second-year wing, who was thriving for the shorthanded Grizzlies. If he's downgraded to out as expected, Williams' next chance to suit up would come Saturday versus the Thunder.... See More ... See Less -
Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Questionable for Sunday
Williams is questionable for Sunday's game against Oklahoma City due to left patellar tendon soreness. Williams is at risk of missing his first contest since Feb. 4. He joins GG Jackson (knee) and Luke Kennard (knee) among Memphis players listed as questionable Sunday, while Jordan Goodwin (Achilles) and John Konchar (ankle) are doubtful to play.... See More ... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Continues solid work as distributor
Williams ended with nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six rebounds and eight assists across 36 minutes during Friday's 101-95 loss to the Clippers. Williams led Memphis in assists in the contest, and he's now dished at least seven dimes in each of his past six games. He's averaging a solid 13.0 points, 7.8 assists 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals over that span while consistently logging minutes in the mid-to-upper-30s, giving the injury-plagued Grizzlies a boost and continuing his emergence as a viable fantasy asset. Williams should continue to get plenty of run down the stretch due to Desmond Bane (ankle) and Marcus Smart (finger) both being out until at least mid-March and Memphis in the midst of a lost season.... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Comes close to triple-double
Williams finished Thursday's 113-110 win over Milwaukee with 18 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 34 minutes. Williams has been one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises for the Grizzlies this season, as the former VCU standout has been trusted into a significant role amid a rash of injuries but has been better than expected. Having started in each of his last 18 appearances, Williams has scored in double digits in all but two of those contests, averaging 15.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game in that stretch.... Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Team-high 19 in Tuesday's loss
Williams recorded 19 points (6-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 123-113 loss to New York. The second-year forward led the Grizzlies in scoring on the night as he reached double digits in points for the 11th straight game. Williams is averaging 17.3 points, 6.4 boards, 3.6 assists, 2.4 threes and 1.2 steals over that stretch while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor and 43.3 percent from beyond the arc in 34.2 minutes a contest. With neither Marcus Smart (finger) nor Desmond Bane (ankle) all that close to returning, Williams' usage figures to remain high in the short term.... See More ... See Less
