Mack (hamstring) was waived/injured by the 49ers on Monday.
Mack was cut to help make room on San Francisco's offseason roster for safety Tashaun Gipson, who was signed by the team Monday. The wideout was expected to sit out a few weeks after he picked up a hamstring injury during the 49ers' exhibition against the Vikings on Saturday. Mack will now pass through waivers before shifting to the team's injured reserve, should he go unclaimed.
