Floyd (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve Thursday.
As expected, Floyd's season is officially over after he was diagnosed with MCL and PCL sprains in his right knee. The linebacker will undergo surgery within the week. Floyd's absence will leave a gap within the Bears' defensive front, and they'll use his roster spot to promote linebacker Howard Jones to their active roster.
