Cross, a third-round 2022 draft pick, has been thrust into a larger role after the surprise retirement of Khari Willis. He's been splitting first-team work with Rodney McLeod, but by all accounts is having a strong camp and looks like the favorite to begin the regular season starting opposite Julian Blackmon.
