Mager agreed to join the Chargers practice squad Monday after getting waived by the club Debbie L. Skylar of MyNewsLA.com reports.
Mager played 21 games, starting 10, for the Chargers over the previous two seasons. He could see some time on the 53-man roster this season depending on injuries in front of him.
