Etling was waived by the Falcons on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Etling was recently activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and was looking to compete for a job backing up Matt Ryan under center. He spent last year on the team's practice squad before signing a reserve/future contract following the season. However, the Falcons have opted to go in another direction.
