The Dolphins elevated Merritt to the active roster Saturday.
The undrafted rookie will make his NFL debut Sunday against the Cardinals, as the Dolphins need depth at wide receiver after trading away Isaiah Ford and placing Lynn Bowden on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. Merritt was quite productive in his final season at Arkansas State, producing 70 receptions for 806 yards and 12 touchdowns. He's expected to be the No. 6 wideout on Miami's depth chart.
