The Browns released Landry on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Landry was scheduled for a non-guaranteed $14.3 million base salary in 2022, the fifth and final season of a five-year, $75.5 million contract. He'll now hit free agency for the first time at age 29, and while a smaller deal likely is in the cards this time around, the veteran wide receiver shouldn't lack for suitors. The Browns, meanwhile, are in the process of finalizing a trade for fellow wideout Amari Cooper.
