Franklin was released by the Redskins on Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
Franklin had a brief stint with the Redskins in 2017, appearing in one game, and was signed by the team after the season. The veteran lineman will be looking to catch on with another team in 2018, likely as a backup option.
