The Raiders elevated Onwuasor from their practice squad Saturday.
Onwuasor has dealt with hamstring and knee injuries for nearly two years and has only played in one game since 2019. The 29-year-old appears healthy and ready to make his 2021 debut Sunday. His role will likely be limited to special-teams duties.
