Jenkins (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
Jenkins' placement in COVID-19 protocols was due to him testing positive for the virus, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The starting safety will benefit from an extra day as he tries to gain clearance to play, as the Saints face the Dolphins on Monday this week. If Jenkins isn't back by then, C.J. Gardner-Johnson will likely take on a starting role in his place.
