Hyde (shoulder) said Monday that his rehab is continuing on track and he expects to be fully recovered by Week 1, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.

Even more encouragingly, Hyde said that he expects to be ready to participate in training camp as soon as activities kick off, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times. With Rashaad Penny (knee) seemingly in real danger of beginning the 2020 campaign on the PUP list, Hyde could be in line to compete for top rotational duties behind Chris Carson (hip) if he's indeed a full go for Week 1. The 29-year-old is coming off the best campaign of his career, in which he eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for the first time (1,070 yards) and exceeded 4.0 yards per carry (4.4 YPC) for the first time since 2016 despite having played through a torn labrum for most of the season, per Condotta. He's recovering from February surgery to address the injury.
