Blues' Nikita Alexandrov: Demoted and recalled

Alexandrov was sent to AHL Springfield and subsequently recalled Friday, CapFriendly reports.

Alexandrov has seven points in 22 NHL games this season, including two assists Thursday against San Jose. He was moved in a paper transaction to make him eligible for the AHL playoffs.
