He fired a wrister over Jusse Saros' glove from the left face-off dot and then one-timed a shot from the top of the slot to drive Saros from the net. Poehling is a big-bodied center with scoring upside. Montreal is struggling this season and it might suppress his output. But Saturday was a good night for the 22-year-old. Poehling now has three goals in his last five games.
