Soucy (hand) was moved to long-term injured reserve Wednesday.
Soucy was already on regular injured reserve, and he's already missed the 10 games and 24 days necessary for LTIR. The 29-year-old defenseman is not expected back until early March, but this move could free up the salary space for the Canucks to make some trades in the near future.
