Hurricanes' Jesper Fast: No longer in protocol

Fast was activated from the NHL's COVID-19 protocol Tuesday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Fast will first need to get back to practice, so he won't play in Tuesday's game against the Blackhawks. The Hurricanes' next scheduled game is Thursday in a rematch against the Blackhawks, so the 29-year-old will aim to return at that point.
