Islanders' Christopher Gibson: Allows three goals in loss

Gibson entered Sunday's 5-2 loss to Philadelphia in the second period and allowed three goals on 18 shots.

With starter Thomas Greiss struggling early, Gibson was called upon to step into a game in which the Islanders had scratched most of their top players. Sunday marked the fourth straight game in which Gibson has allowed at least three goals. With the Islanders heading into the postseason, Gibson will likely remain on the bench unless needed in an emergency situation.
