Benn has signed a one-year contract with Swedish team Brynas IF in the Allsvenskan League on Saturday, 100 Degree Hockey reports.
Benn was released from his professional tryout by the Stars on Sunday. The 12-year NHL veteran defenseman had a goal and an assist in 12 games with the Maple Leafs last season.
