Benn was placed on waivers by Toronto on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Benn has a goal and two points in 12 games with the Maple Leafs this season. If he clears waivers, he'll probably be reassigned to the AHL's Marlies where he's recorded a goal and an assist in four contests in 2022-23.
