Dallas released Benn on Sunday from his professional tryout agreement.
Benn supplied two goals and four assists in 23 games with AHL Toronto last season. He also earned one goal, one assist, 29 blocked shots and 31 hits in 12 appearances with the Maple Leafs during the 2022-23 campaign.
