Walcott was waived Saturday, reports Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Walcott, who is 27, finally made his NHL debut last season. He's a strong leader who could end up wearing a letter with Syracuse this season. Walcott's game won't stand out from a fantasy perspective if he can earn a call up, but he will be a solid citizen on the ice.
