Klefbom has a fractured finger and will not travel with the Oilers for a four-game road trip that begins this Monday against the Bruins, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.

What a tough blow for an Oilers squad that has started to turn the corner with a five-game winning streak but is still without prized rookie Connor McDavid (shoulder). Klefbom packs plenty of offensive punch from the blue line -- he had 36 goals and 21 assists last year -- and the Oilers simply cannot afford to take a hit in that area because they rely heavily on scores for wins, especially with the defense allowing three goals per game.
