Verhaeghe agreed to terms on a three-year, $12.5 million contract extension with the Panthers on Wednesday, David Dwork of Local 10 Miami reports.
Verhaeghe will see a significant upgrade from the $1 million he will earn this season, as he starts making $4.2 million AAV starting with the 2022-23 campaign. If the 25-year-old center can continue to build on the 36-point season he put together last year, Florida will certainly be happy to have shelled out the extra dollars.
