Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Saturday that outfielder Carl Crawford (elbow, forearm) could make his long-awaited Cactus League debut on Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Crawford, who has endured an arduous recovery from Tommy John surgery, is scheduled to hit in a minor-league game on Saturday.

If he finishes the outing unscathed, he will likely join the Dodgers lineup Sunday for his first appearance with a major-league squad since last August as a member of the Red Sox. Crawford is considered questionable for the start of the regular season.
