A contusion sustained on a liner off the hip has White Sox right-hander Hector Noesi out of the game Saturday against Cincinnati, MLB.com has reported

Noesi was knocked out in the second innings after pitching 1 2/3 scoreless. He finished having yielded three hits and two walks with three strikeouts. He left with the bases loaded, but Scott Carroll retired Marlon Byrd to keep the game scoreless and take Noesi off the hook for a potential defeat.

If healthy enough, Noesi will next pitch at Oakland next Friday.
