During his time with the Miami Dolphins, Nick Saban didn't make a ton of friends. Saban left LSU to run the Dolphins and brought his hard-nosed coaching style to the NFL.

There are a number of different stories about bizarre and questionable things that happened while with Miami.

Former Dolphins player P.K. Sam added to the list when he tweeted Thursday that Saban once cut him 10 years ago for visiting his dying father.

Yikes. You don't get many shots at becoming an NFL player, but you definitely only have one father. Leaving to see your father when he's about to pass away is, assuming you're close to him, as big a no-brainer move as there is.

Cutting someone for doing so? Well, if that's true, it's a pretty bad look for Saban.

There's a reason he wins lots and lots of football games, and it's not because he treats people with kid gloves. But dumping a player who went to see a dying parent? That's not doing Saban any favors in terms of how he's viewed by the public.
