Los Angeles (7-1) is setting its sights high and boasts a relentless defense and a high-flying offense. Los Angeles is a 7.5-point favorite in the latest Titans vs. Rams odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under for total points scored is 53. Why the Rams can cover

The Los Angeles passing attack has been lighting it up, with Matthew Stafford second in the league in passing (2,477 yards) and Cooper Kupp posting a league-high 924 yards through eight games. They have linked up for 10 touchdowns, and Stafford has 22 while throwing just four interceptions. The Rams are an NFL-best 11-2 against the spread in prime time since 2019, covering the spread in five straight.

Los Angeles is scoring 30.6 points per game (fifth in NFL), and veteran receiver Robert Woods (38 catches) and rising star Van Jefferson (16.3 yards per catch) also pose problems. The Titans rank 22nd in total defense (368 yards per game) and 24th against the pass (267), and while the Rams defense ranks 21st in total yards (367), that doesn't tell the story. L.A. leads the league in sacks (25) and shares the No. 1 spot in interceptions (11).

Why the Titans can cover

Tennessee has been an underdog in four games this season and won all of them, and the Titans are 6-2 against the spread. Tennessee is 17-13 straight-up as an underdog under coach Mike Vrabel. Tannehill will need to step up his game, and the veteran threw for 265 yards and three TDs in last week's victory. He has 2,002 passing yards and 10 touchdowns and is the team's top rushing option remaining with 165 yards. Adrian Peterson was brought in to take over, with top running back Jeremy McNichols having just 246 career rushing yards to his name.

The veteran Peterson had 604 total yards and ran for seven TDs with Detroit last season. McNichols plays a key role on passing downs and has 21 catches for 203 yards, and wideout A.J. Brown (35 for 539) is still a threat. The Titans defense has been strong against the run (100.8 yards, eighth) and allows 24.2 points per game (20th). It has struggled against the pass (267.4 yards, 24th), but Harold Landry is tied for second in the league with 8.5 sacks, and safety Kevin Byard has four interceptions.
