Defensive end Andre Carter, who has 78.5 career sacks and turns 34 next month, reportedly has re-signed with the Raiders for one year.

ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted the news, which she got from Carter’s agent.

A situational pass rusher last season, Carter finished with 19 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 12 games.

He tore his quad in Week 14 of 2011 with the Patriots -- a season in which he had 10 sacks and two forced fumbles -- and didn’t start playing for Oakland until Week 6 last year.

The Raiders ranked 31st with 25 sacks last season.

Also Tuesday, Oakland announced the signing of former Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins.
