Odell Beckham Jr. needed less than a quarter to make his impact in Super Bowl LVI, scoring the first touchdown of the game to give the Los Angeles Rams the early lead over the Cincinnati Bengals. Beckham caught a 17-yard strike from Matthew Stafford on third-and-3 for the score -- his first catch of the night. It also ended up being the first touchdown of the Rams' eventual Super Bowl victory.
The touchdown pass was also Stafford's first touchdown in the Super Bowl. The six-play, 50-yard drive was set up thanks to a failed fourth-and-1 conversion by the Bengals on the Rams' 49-yard line, giving the Rams excellent field position to get an early score.

Beckham scored more touchdowns in the Super Bowl (one) than he did for the Cleveland Browns this season (zero) and has more touchdowns with Los Angeles (seven) than he did his entire career with Cleveland. Beckham turned his 2021 season around since signing with the Rams after an ugly breakup from the Browns, recording 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns in eight games. Beckham had only 17 catches for 232 yards and zero touchdowns in six games with Cleveland, expressing his frustration of his lack of involvement in the offense through outside sources like his father. The Browns publicly defended Beckham, even though both sides agreed it was better to move on.
The Rams wide receiver clearly left the problems back in Cleveland. Coming in to the Super Bowl, Beckham had 19 catches for 236 yards and a touchdown in three postseason games. Beckham finished with nine catches for 113 yards in the Rams' NFC Championship Game victory over the San Francisco 49ers, the first 100-yard game he's recorded since Week 6 of the 2019 season.
Beckham, who is expecting the birth of his first child with his girlfriend in the coming days, has a story to tell his first born with his Super Bowl touchdown.
