There's a saying that goes, "Here for a good time, not a long time." Coty Sensabaugh was not in Los Angeles for a long time, but he was not exactly there for a good time either.

The Los Angeles Rams cut Sensabaugh on Saturday, per ESPN, just seven months after they gave him a three-year, $19 million contract. They can comfort themselves with the fact that only $6.5 million of that salary was guaranteed, per Spotrac, but it still seems like a pretty big waste of money and cap space.

Sensabaugh spent the first four years of his career with the Tennessee Titans, where he was a part-time player in nickel and dime packages for most of his career until moving into a starting role for much of last season. He had two interceptions (returning one for a touchdown) but was also beaten for seven TDs, per tracking from Pro Football Focus. Still, the Rams felt it wise to give him a sizable contract and a big role in the defense early in the season.

He played 81 of 82 snaps in Week 1, working mostly at right corner. He was burned badly in that game though, yielding six catches (on six targets) for 84 yards -- most of them (4-59) to Quinton Patton. Sensabaugh got the start again in Week 2, but was pulled after giving up a 35-yard catch to Tyler Lockett. He did not get on the field in Week 3 and was actually inactive in Week 4.

Now he's looking for a new job.

We'd express surprise that the Rams would so willingly throw away money like this, but they're the same team that's looking to extend their relationship with Jeff Fisher, who has yet to finish a season at or above .500 with the Rams -- so maybe we shouldn't be surprised at all.
