The Jets were the subject of 2010's "Hard Knocks" series on HBO and created a number of memorable moments. And according to owner Woody Johnson, they'd be willing to appear on the show again.

That's according to our Jets Rapid Reporter Lisa Zimmerman, who reports that Johnson said he wouldn't rule out appearing on the show again.

"The Jets were the subjects of HBO"s Hard Knocks in 2010 and owner Woody Johnson wouldn't rule out doing it again," Zimmerman writes. "He said no formal invitation has been made, but said the team would consider all factors if approached."

Johnson said the team's had early, informal discussions with HBO, but wasn't in the position to accept anything just yet.

Per Zimmerman, Johnson also said that the exposure the team received in 2010 was "tremendous," since it allowed fans to learn about the Jets more throughly. That's actually a really valid point: Mrs. Brinson is no fan of football, and she knows just about everyone on the Jets roster, thanks primarily to "Hard Knocks." (She also cannot believe that the Tim Tebow trade can be a good idea. So there's that.)

In somewhat ironic news, Johnson also said that he's not concerned that Tim Tebow might create a "circus atmosphere" around the Jets, saying that everything about the team "will be a football atmosphere."

This is humorous since, you know, appearing on "Hard Knocks" doesn't exactly do much to tone down the "circus" nature of the team.

It would be interesting to see how the Jets are perceived on the show, having already appeared once. There's little question, however, that ratings would be good: Tebow has that effect on television properties, and it might only be magnified if a battle for the starting quarterback position between he and Mark Sanchez really started brewing.
