Heim was placed on waivers by the Blues on Wednesday for the purpose of terminating his contract, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Heim was signed to an entry-level deal back in May but apparently won't be making the move to North America this season. Instead, the 25-year-old winger figures to remain with his Swiss club and very well may never make an NHL roster at this point in his career.
