Providence was going to be one of those teams sweating out selection Sunday.  They desperately needed a quality win away from home to secure a spot, but Villanova got beat too early.  So, Providence got the quality win late, beating Creighton for the Big East title and eliminating the need for an at-large bid.

With Providence already having played itself in, the play-in games needed another team, and I am projecting a team close to home, but not the home team.  Xavier drops into the First Four and is paired with SMU.  Tennessee is projected to play BYU.

Michigan takes over the fourth No. 1 seed slot after the Wolverines beat Ohio State and rival Michigan State knocked out Wisconsin.  Michigan and the Spartans will meet for the Big Ten title tomorrow.
