Pena was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Pena is back for his third stint with the major-league team this season, but his time with club may be short. The Angels lost two starting pitchers -- Garrett Richards (hamstring) and Nick Tropeano (shoulder) -- to the DL on Friday and will soon need to make room for replacements in the rotation.
