Blue Jays' George Springer: Remains out of lineup

Springer (knee) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Springer is considered day-to-day after he exited Monday's series opener with a bruised knee, but he'll be out of the lineup for a second straight game. He didn't appear off the bench Tuesday, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available in a depth role Wednesday. Alejandro Kirk will serve as the designated hitter while Danny Jansen starts at catcher.
