Perez is starting at second base and batting eighth in Friday's game against the White Sox.
Perez joined the Cubs on Tuesday and this will be his first start for the team. The veteran utility player slashed .228/.262/.379 in 91 games for the Brewers in 2019. He's unlikely to earn significant playing time in Chicago unless other players go down due to injury or illness.
