Arrieta (thumb) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday, Maddie Lee of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
The 35-year-old completed a bullpen session Saturday and will retake the mound for another session during the two-game series in Cleveland this week. Arrieta could return from the injured list next weekend against the Tigers when first eligible if he can avoid any setbacks.
