Castellanos did not factor in the decision against Colorado on Friday, allowing six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out four across 5.2 innings.

Through five innings, the right-hander held Colorado off the scoreboard, at one point retiring 11 straight batters. His three-run homer in the third inning helped stake him to a seven-run lead, and it appeared that Castellanos was on his way to an easy win. However, he gave nearly the entire lead back in the sixth frame, when the Rockies tagged him for six runs on six hits, with the big blow being a Sam Hilliard three-run homer. The blowup marked not only the most runs Castellanos has given up in an inning this season, it also led to his highest run total for an entire outing on the campaign. He'll likely finish 2021 with a 4.93 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 29:15 K:BB across 45.2 innings.
