Nimmon is not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale at Miami.
Nimmo started the last five games but will head to the bench Sunday in favor of Austin Jackson in center field. The 25-year-old is slashing .202/.340/.328 with 45 strikeouts and 20 walks in 144 plate appearances since the start of July.
