Syndergaard (lat) won't resume throwing for four more weeks, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
Syndergaard was originally given a six-week estimate to resume throwing after he was diagnosed with a partial tear of his right lat, but it now appears he'll need closer to eight weeks off before he is ready to pick up his throwing program. This revised timetable should put his estimated return date closer to August, while the Mets will continue to tread cautiously with their ace.
