Burr agreed to a minor-league contract with the Rays on Sunday.
Burr appeared in eight games for the White Sox and allowed six earned runs before being released in mid-June. The 28-year-old had a 2.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 33:21 K:BB over 36.2 innings last year with Chicago, and he should report to Triple-A Durham for the Rays.
