Blewett was recalled from Kansas City's alternate camp site Wednesday.
Blewett is set to replace Glenn Sparkman (forearm) -- who was placed on the injured list Wednesday -- on the roster and in the bullpen. The right-hander struggled across 81.1 innings at Triple-A last season, so he'll likely be limited to low-leverage work during his time with the big club.
