Manning will be a part of the Tigers' 60-man player pool this season.
Manning is not on the 40-man roster, but this move comes as little surprise as many MLB teams are electing to add top prospects to their 60-man squads for developmental reasons. The 22-year-old could make his MLB debut at some point this season after a dominant 2019 at the Double-A level.
