Dozier is out of the lineup Sunday against the Indians, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Dozier will sit for the first time since May 9, when he was sidelined due to an ankle injury. With four hits in 20 at-bats over his last five starts, Dozier should benefit from the full two days of rest, as the Twins are off the schedule Monday before opening a series with the White Sox the following day. Eduardo Escobar will cover the keystone with Dozier out while shortstop Jorge Polanco moves up to the leadoff spot.
