Kepler (shoulder) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Royals.
He returned from a shoulder injury to play in both games of a doubleheader on Sept. 14 and has not played in a game since after aggravating the injury. Luis Arraez, Ryan LaMarre and Eddie Rosario will start in the outfield from left to right.
