The Yankees sent Andrews outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
Andrews went unclaimed off waivers after being DFA'd by the Yankees on Monday, so he will officially remain within the organization. The 27-year-old southpaw has gotten off to a rough start in the minors, allowing six earned runs across 3.2 innings while striking out two batters and walking six.
