The Hornets recalled Smith from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Monday.
Smith hasn't appeared in an NBA game since before the All-Star break. However, with Seth Curry (ankle) and Cody Martin (ankle) joining LaMelo Ball (ankle) on the sidelines recently, there may be depth minutes available for the rookie guard.
