Tate (calf) will not be activated from IR by the Bengals after his 21-day practice window elapsed, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Tate, who has been on IR since Dec. 4, was cleared to return to practice back on Jan. 11, but he wasn't activated by the team Tuesday, which means that the wideout won't be on the Bengals' active roster for Super Bowl LVI. In seven regular-season contests, Tate caught three of his four targets for 39 yards and a TD. The 2018 seventh-rounder, who turns 25 on Feb. 3, is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
