The Commanders signed Burgess (undisclosed) on Tuesday.
Burgess was waived from the Giants' reserve/PUP list in mid-May after failing a physical, but Washington seems to be confident he's healthy. The 2020 third-round pick has played primarily on special teams during his career, appearing in 31 contests over the last three seasons.
