Cowboys' Connor Williams: Unlikely to be re-signed by Dallas

Williams likely won't be back in Dallas in 2022 after owner/GM Jerry Jones indicated Wednesday he wanted the Cowboys' offensive line to be more disciplined, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.

The fourth-year player led the league in holding penalties called against him, a trend that caused Williams to lose his hold on the starting left guard spot midway through the season, only for him to regain it down the stretch after Connor McGovern's own limitations became apparent. Expect Dallas to address the position in the draft or via free agency, or perhaps both, while Williams looks for a second chance elsewhere.
